I’ll make this brief: yes, I’m still here, living my life. Nothing new on the tumor front, which is good. Oh, and to spare my body a bit of the contrast agent, I decided to only do MRIs every 6 months now instead of every 4 months.

This blog is more or less in maintenance mode, since I don’t have much to say at the moment. I have removed some stuff: the obsolete Twitter link since I don’t use it any more, the Disqus comments since I don’t think it’s relevant any more. Maybe at some point in the future, I revive the blog and remodel it. For now, just deal with it ;)

Tumor: Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma
Diagnosis: Feb 2011, Grand mal seizure
Age at Diagnosis: 30
Molecular Genetics
  • IDH1 R132H Mutation
  • Hypermethylated MGMT Promoter
  • 1p/19q Deletion
Treatment:
  • Feb 2011: Craniotomy, ca. 90% resection
  • Mar—Nov 2011: 9 cycles of Temozolomide (Temodal)
  • Jul—Aug 2015: Standard Radiotherapy, 54-60Gy
  • Ongoing:
    • 1,500mg/day Levetiracetam (Keppra) anti-seizure meds
    • MRI every 6 months
